Howard D. Lovering played ice hockey and football at NU. Afootball co-captain and MVP, he was an All-East Selection at guardin 1964. Howie was a United States Army Captain and mobile advisoryteam leader in Vietnam before joining the football staff at Norwich(1970-71). The former Athletic Director at Northfield High School,Howie was an English teacher and the ice hockey coach at HartfordHigh School in White River Junction at the time ofinduction.
