Ben Simeone was a two-sport standout in hockey and baseball at Norwich University. He was a four-year member of both squads. 
As a center, Ben was a leading scorer and a big part of four straight winning seasons for the Cadet hockey team. He served as team captain for the 1951-52 squad which posted a 13-2 record. The Cadets won 11 consecutive games that year and enjoyed the best won-loss mark in the country. Norwich was second in the balloting for best team in the country and received several first place votes.
Ben was active in all phases of student life as an undergraduate. he was an officer in the Corps of cadets and a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilonfraternity in addition to being a dean's list student.
Ben was called into action at the end of his senior year. He went to Korea and served as Armored Reconnaissance Platoon Leader for the 7th Infantry Division during 1953-54.  
Upon returning to civilian life, Ben began a long career working in the family construction business started by his father. He would later serve as President and CEO of the Simeone Corporation.
Ben has remained active in his community throughout his life. He has served as a member of the Board of Fellows here at Norwich and as a trustee for such non-profit organizations such as Stonehill College, Caratis Cristi, and the Center For Blood Research at Harvard Medical School. 
Ben now spends much of his time working on the Benjamin and Inez Simeone Charitable Foundation which he founded in honor of his wife Inez following her death a few years ago.
Ben has five children; Benjamin, William, Lauren, Gregory, and Nancy. Today they help him oversee the Simeonoe-MacKinnon Land Development Corporation.
