Football: Single-game ticket information announced; Cadets set for five-game home schedule

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Single-game ticket information has been announced for the 2026 Norwich University football season, with the Cadets set to host five games at Sabine Field beginning Friday, Sept. 4.

Online tickets will once again be available through PurplePass and are priced at $5 for adults and $3 for non-Norwich University students and school-age children.  Norwich students and employees will be admitted free of charge with a valid Norwich ID.

Online purchases are credit card only and are subject to applicable taxes and fees.  Tickets must be presented at Sabine Field on game day, either on a mobile device or as a printed copy.

General admission tickets will also be available for purchase in person beginning 90 minutes prior to kickoff at the same prices, with both cash and credit cards accepted.

PurplePass tickets will go live on the Sunday before each home game, beginning Sunday, Aug. 30, for Norwich's season opener against St. Lawrence University on Friday, Sept. 4.

The Cadets' five-game home schedule features a different tradition or special event attached to each contest, beginning under the lights against St. Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. in the annual Hoffman Cup matchup.

Norwich will remain home the following weekend, welcoming Vermont State University Castleton to Sabine Field on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 12:00 p.m. for the latest installment of the Battle for the Maple Sap Bucket.

After three consecutive road games, the Cadets will return to Northfield on Saturday, Oct. 17, hosting Maritime College at 2:00 p.m. as part of Norwich University's Homecoming Weekend.  The matchup will also mark Norwich's first home New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest of the season.

One week later, Norwich will host the United States Coast Guard Academy on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 1:00 p.m. during Parents & Family Weekend.  The longtime rivalry game, often referred to as the "Little Army-Navy Game," will once again feature The Mug trophy.

The home schedule concludes Saturday, Nov. 14, when Massachusetts Institute of Technology visits Sabine Field for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff on Senior Day.

Away from Northfield, Norwich will play five road games and seven NEWMAC contests overall.  The Cadets will visit the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Sept. 26, Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Oct. 3, Maine Maritime Academy on Oct. 10, Salve Regina University on Oct. 31, and Springfield College on Nov. 7.

Norwich's NEWMAC schedule includes USMMA, WPI, Maritime, Coast Guard, Salve Regina, Springfield, and MIT, with three of those conference matchups set for Sabine Field.

The 2026 season will mark Norwich's third year under Head Coach Bill Russell, with a five-member captain group of graduate student tight end Declan Lay (Brunswick, Maine), senior defensive lineman John Dixner (Fenton, Mich.), senior defensive back Corey Stone (Piscataway, N.J.), junior quarterback Landon Beecher (Holliston, Mass.), and junior running back Will Patenaude (Goffstown, N.H.) selected by their teammates to lead the Cadets.

Norwich's 2025 campaign featured a 63-0 victory over Maine Maritime during Homecoming Weekend, with the team entering 2026 with a home schedule built around several of the program's longest-running traditions and most anticipated campus weekends.
