WINTHROP, Mass. - A week removed of his first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golfer of the Week nod after his first individual title of the season,
Cooper Bertrand (Caledon, Ont.) of the Norwich University men's golf team received his second league Golfer of the Week nod fresh off his second individual title, all the while teammate
Jordan Dustin (Concord, N.H.) received the team's first Rookie of the Week accolade of the year, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Bertrand scooped up another individual title on Wednesday afternoon, this time topping the competition at the Emmanuel College Invitational. Leading the Cadets to their first team title of the season, Bertrand secured his second crown after finishing four strokes over par on the day, defeating New England College's Bryce Sturm's +6 score.
Dustin, meanwhile, aided the Cadets to defeating fellow conference foes after tallying a +14 score, finishing in a tie for 10th overall.
Bertrand and Dustin's efforts helped the Cadets to a toppling of reigning GNAC champions New England College as well as hosts Emmanuel on Wednesday.
Bertrand repeats his honor after earning Co-Golfer of the Week plaudits after securing his first individual title of the season at the Keene State Invitational. Dustin becomes Norwich's first Rookie of the Week since
Harrison Giambattista (Danielson, Conn.) received two similar plaudits during the 2023 season.
The Cadets concluded the season at the GNAC Championships with a fourth-place finish, ending another successful year for the Norwich men's golf program, which wraps up its third year since being reinstated as a varsity program.
