ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt.- The Norwich men's rugby team secured another thrilling victory this Sunday, toppling Champlain College in a Development 15s game with a score of 39-10 at the Tree Farm Recreational Facility.
The Cadets and the Beavers went head to head for a strong 10 minutes until senior Kyle Donohue (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) scored the first try of the game with a conversion from the freshman kicker Dumisani. During the first half of the game Freshman Greydon Bleau scored two tries both 25 minutes into the game. Giving the Cadets a strong advantage of 24 – 5 by the end of the first half.
In the second half of the game the cadets scored three more times with tries from Karl Kent (Great Mills, M.D.), Joshua Rodriguez (Newark, N.J.), and Aiden McCabe.
On deck for the Dirt Dogs are the NEWCRC Playoffs Sunday October 30 against University of New Hampshire for Senior Day at Dog River Rugby Pitch at 1 PM.
