PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Norwich women's ice hockey continued its run of weekly accolades as senior captain Olivia Boyer (Saint Paul, Minn.) earned Little East Conference (LEC) Player of the Week honors. Maggie Hunter (Royal Oak, Mich.) was named Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 8. The awards mark the sixth consecutive LEC Player of the Week recognition for the Cadets.

Boyer delivered in the clutch during Norwich's weekend sweep of Southern Maine, scoring four goals, including the game-winning goal in each contest. Three of her tallies came in the third period, underscoring a dominant closing push from the senior captain. Boyer also won 58.5 percent of her faceoffs on the weekend, continuing an electric senior campaign.

On the season, Boyer leads the LEC in assists (17) and ranks second in points (28), trailing only teammate Livia Brooks (Walpole, Mass.). The honor marks the second Player of the Week award of her career, having previously earned New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week recognition on Feb. 5, 2024.

Hunter earned her second Rookie of the Week honor of the season after a strong two-way performance against the Huskies. The first-year skater assisted on Norwich's opening goal on Friday and scored the game-tying goal in Saturday's contest, finishing the weekend with two points and a +4 rating. Hunter also played a key role defensively as the Cadets limited Southern Maine to 1.50 goals per game over the series.

The Cadets will look to keep the momentum rolling when Norwich returns home for a weekend series against UMass Boston on Feb. 13 and 14, marking the penultimate home weekend of the regular season.
