RUTLAND, Vt.- The Norwich Men's Golf team took second place in their second tournament of the weekend in the two-day Vermont State Castleton Invitational.

It was yet another high finish for two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golfer of the Week Cooper Bertrand (Caledon, Ont.), who rode a stellar day one performance to first place, where he made birdie three times to a +1 score on Saturday, finishing the tournament +6, five strokes clear of second place.

First-year JD Mahoney (Ellicott City, Md.) also had an impressive performance on the second day. Mahoney made birdie on three holes, and made eagle on the par four 16^th hole to finish in eighth place.
