PROVIDENCE, R.I.- For the second consecutive week, the Little East Conference (LEC) honored junior winger
Livia Brooks (Walpole, Mass.) as the Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon as part of their weekly awards for the week ending Dec. 7.
After a five-point week last week, Brooks followed up that performance with four points in three contests this week, totaling nine points in her previous five games going into the semester break. Her week opened with a two-point effort in the Cadets' final LEC contest of 2025 against Plymouth State on Dec. 3, assisting on
Jordan Brady's (Green Bay, Wis.) game-winning goal late in the first period before adding a goal early in the second period.
Later in the week, against Cortland on Dec. 6, Brooks added two more goals, both coming on the power play. Her first goal of the game knotted the contest at one a piece before ripping a shot off the crossbar in the opening minute of the second period, proving to be the game winner with both tallies coming within two minutes of game time.
The two-time American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American continues to impress during her junior season, leading the LEC in goals and points, and tying for the conference lead in assists. Nationally, Brooks sits 20
th in Division III in assists per game (0.78).
This week marks the seventh weekly award of her three-year career, and the third Player of the Week nod, with the first coming the week of Jan. 8, 2024, in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).
Brooks and the Cadets will look to open 2026 with a bang when they host the East-West Classic Jan. 4-5, which begins with Norwich taking on Oswego State before Elmira takes on Plattsburgh State. The maroon and gold will resume LEC play Jan. 9-10 with a weekend series against Vermont State Castleton.
