MARSHFIELD, Mass.- As part of their weekly awards in the penultimate week of the season, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recognized sophomore middle linebacker
Ben Primich (Yardley, Pa.) as their Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Primich turned in a career performance in Saturday afternoon's contest against Salve Regina, accumulating 20 total tackles, eight of which were solo, which ties him for the tenth most in Division III this season, and two takedowns away from a Norwich program record set in 2017. Included in those 20 total tackles were 2.5 tackles for a loss of five yards and a sack.
In his sophomore season, Primich leads the NEWMAC in total tackles, averaging 12.7 per game, which is also the top mark in New England and fifth-best in the nation.
Primich and the Cadets will round out their season when they visit MIT on Friday night, Nov. 14, at 7:00 p.m.
