PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Norwich Men's Wrestling team rounded out their weekend on the campus of Johnson & Wales with New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Dual Championships where first-year 157-pounder Tyler Russ (Freehold, N.J.) won all four of his bouts earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Russ's first win of the day came by decision in the opening dual with Springfield, which immediately followed a decision win for Gannon White (Rincon, Ga.) at 149 pounds. His second victory came by major decision in the second match against Rhode Island College with Jabari Pinkney (Jessup, Md.) scoring a win by decision.

After two defeats at the hands of the Pride and the Anchormen, the Cadets met the Bears of Bridgewater State which opened with two straight decision victories by Pinkney and Robby Lyons (Milford, Mass.). The Bears answered with two wins of their own before Russ tallied a tech fall win followed by a Jonathan Neypes (Columbia, Md.) major decision. Mason Sprinkel (Bel Air, Md.) rounded out the match with a major decision.

To finish the tournament, Norwich had a dominant showing against Plymouth State. Russ, and Burke finished their day with wins by fall, along with major decision wins by Pinkney and Simon Taraska (Willowick, Ohio). Sprinkel and Tyrian Saeturn (Dracut, Mass.) closed out the dual with pins.

The Panthers will host a rematch with the Cadets on Feb. 5 at 6 PM.
