Women's Soccer: Best Season in 13 Years Comes to a Close in GNAC Quarterfinals

BOSTON, Mass.- Playing their third contest in a five-day span, the seventh seeded Norwich Women's Soccer team hit the road to take on second seeded Emmanuel Saturday afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinals.

The Saints were off and running in the contest, finding the back of the net three times in the first twelve minutes. Colby Magoon (Loudon, N.H.) and Kat Probst (Gouverneur, N.Y.) had chances as the half wound down, but the score would stand at the half.

In the opening minutes of the second half, the Cadets would close the gap. Off a free kick, Bella Roy (Weare, N.H.) would convert on the set piece making it a two-goal game. Emmanuel responded by extending their advantage. In the contest Hannah Jenkins (Manchester, N.H.) made nine saves.

The defeat in the Quarterfinal concludes the season for Norwich Women's Soccer, who finish with their best record in over a decade and only suffering one defeat on their home turf.
