FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Norwich Men's Soccer team took to the road continuing Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play when they ventured to Dean Wednesday afternoon.
The first half was a see-saw battle with both side trading opportunities with the Bulldogs holding a slight edge in the stat column. Both keepers Dean's Jake Godwin and
Nicolas Lanza (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) made stops to keep the game scoreless at the half.
Almost immediately following the second half kickoff, the Bulldogs found the back of the net twice in a span of 30 seconds. The Cadets looked to answer tilting the field to their offensive end, after a golden opportunity hit the crossbar,
Judah Adams (St. Petersburg, Fla.) centered the ball into the box for
Diego Fuentes (Valenica, Spain) to get Norwich within one. Seeking the equalizer, the Cadets continued to press earning nine corner kicks in the second half but could not break through despite the hard push.
Norwich will return to Sabine Field on Saturday Oct. 12 when they celebrate Senior Day against Albertus Magnus at 2 PM.
