NORTHFIELD, Vt.- Looking to build upon Friday night's victory, the Norwich Women's Soccer team took to Sabine Field to face intrastate foe Castleton Sunday afternoon. A contest where the visitors took home a 6-0 win.
The Cadets generated offensive pressure out of the gate. However, the Spartans would strike with two goals in four minutes and would add another one before halftime. Goalkeeper
Rebecca Karis (Fayetteville, N.C.) stopped four Castleton shots, and added five more saves in the second half.
In the second half, the Spartans struck again with Rylee Pepin scoring her second of the game just out of the break and would tack on two more at the tail end.
Norwich will look to turn the page when they travel to Chicopee, Mass for a 7 PM meeting with Elms to open Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.
