NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Norwich University Men's Soccer team continues to roll in conference play after romping the Rivier Raiders 4-0 Friday night at Sabine Field. The victory is the team's fifth in a row all in GNAC play raising their conference record to 5-1.
Sophomore
Mamadi Jiana (Chicopee, Mass) continues his hot streak after breaking the ice in the 14
th minute on a great solo effort to steal the ball off the boot of the Rivier defender and score his sixth goal of the week. Jiana would also add an assist on the tally by Junior
Jami Lashua (Williston, Vt) in the 66
th minute.
Not to be outdone was Senior
Joseph Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass) who added a brace of his own with goals in the 25
th and 68
th minute. Thongsythavong and Jiana are now tied for second place in the GNAC in goals with eight each.
On deck for the Cadets is a matchup with Anna Maria at Caparso Field, kick off is set for 4 PM.
