NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Norwich University Volleyball team emerged from a five set battle with Simmons victorious with the score 25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 15-25, 15-10.
 
The first two sets were a struggle that went in the Cadets favor, both ending on Sharks service errors despite having 16 kills in the second. But Simmons took advantage of nine Cadet errors in the third and fourth sets to even things up along with 14 kills in the fourth. Norwich would then finish strong in the final frame out killing them 9-4.
 
Leading the way in kills for the Cadets was senior Ana Lopez (Laredo, Texas) with 13 and Addison Schroeder (Apple Valley, Calif.) with 12. Other notables include Sarah Farnum (North Andover, Mass) had 42 assists and Maggie McNeil (Gilford, N.H.) with 27 digs.
 
Leading the way for the Sharks was senior Sydney Iannantuono (East Lyme, Conn.) with 18 kills and 25 digs to go along with junior Kat Simeonidis's (Lake Mary, Fla.) 45 assists.
 
On deck for the Cadets is a non conference matchup with Salem State at 6 PM at Andrews Hall.
