PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The Norwich shooting team kicked off its first season since 2005 with a thrilling win over SUNY Plattsburgh on Saturday afternoon, 3853-3803.

The team, captained by Thomas Harwood, Jacob Cohn and Logan Hassell, won the air rifle match (2041-1967) before losing the small bore competition (1836-1812), winning the match overall with an aggregated score of 3,853 points.

The teams' leading shooters during this competition were Logan Hassell, shooting a combined air rifle score of 536, and Aiden Burris, who a small bore combined score of 516.
 
Norwich University shooting team will compete next against MIT and the Coast Guard Academy, on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 2:00 p.m., on the road at MIT.
