Box Score WESTON, Mass. – The Norwich University volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-21, 29-27, 25-14, 25-10) in their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament quarterfinal matchup on Higgins Court Tuesday evening at Regis.
Addison Hall (Apple Valley, Calif.) led the Cadets with 11 kills in the match while Sarah Farnum (North Andover, Mass.) had 30 assists in the match and Julia Schroeder (Victorville, Calif.) had 17 digs to anchor the Cadet defense. Olivia Brown (Rye, N.H.) and Laura Farnum had 15 digs each.
In the first set, the Cadets and Pride battled to a 20-20 tie, before Regis rattled off five of the final six points of the set.
The Cadets rebounded in the second set, were up 23-21 before the Pride evened the set at 21. Norwich took the lead again going up 24-23 off a kill by Leah Mathewson (North Chelmsford, Mass.) which the Cadets and Pride continued battling back and forth before Norwich took a 29-27 set victory.
The Pride took control of the match, winning the third set 25-14 and fourth set 25-10.
The Cadets close their season with a 15-7 record overall and a 9-4 record in the GNAC.
