Box Score BOSTON – The Norwich University women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 match to Simmons College on Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.
Sophomore goalkeeper Holly Lutz (Hamburg, N.J.) played the first 45 minutes and made three saves. Classmate Amanda Harris (Lakewood, Colo.) saw her first collegiate action in the second half, stopping all 12 shots she faced.
Simmons' Ali Berkman, Kashka Gammon, Greer Gilbert and Gabrielle Klane each scored goals in the first half to lead the Sharks to the victory.
Norwich fell to 3-10-1 and 1-8-1 in GNAC play. Simmons improved to 8-6-2 overall and 7-3 in GNAC matches.
Norwich hosts Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. vs. conference-leading Lasell. The Cadets will honor Alex Frank (Medford, N.J.), Morgan Lamorey (Northfield, Vt.), Shelby Descoteaux (Hudson, N.H.), Carolyn Valentine (Lake Placid, N.Y.) and Rose Washington (Gwynn Oak, Md.) prior to the start of the game.
