WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Norwich University women's rugby team continued to strengthen its grip atop the Northeast Women's Collegiate Rugby Conference (NWCRC) standings after a 48-12 blowout win over Army on Saturday night.
Ally Day (Gorham, Maine), Jackie Derocher (Northwood, N.H.), Valerie McGuire (Felts Mills, N.Y.), Emily Colesworthy (North Yarmouth, Maine), Hannah Bell (Newberg, Ore.) and Joya Clark (Scotia, N.Y.) each scored a try for the Cadets (4-0, 2-0 NWCRC) as they beat Army for the third straight time. Norwich improved to 3-0 against the Black Knights.
Bell also notched a drop goal and connected on five of six conversions to round out the rest of Norwich's scoring on the day.
