NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Brandon Keith scored four
goals and Dave Bulhoes added three markers as Lasell defeated
Norwich, 12-5, in a Pilgrim League men's lacrosse game Saturday
afternoon at Howard Field.
The Lasers (4-7, 2-2 Pilgrim) jumped to a 4-0 lead after the
first quarter and led 8-1 at halftime.
Norwich (1-5, 0-3 Pilgrim League) scored the only two goals of
the third quarter to pull to within 8-3 with 15 minutes to play.
Lasell outscored Norwich, 4-2, in the fourth quarter to put the
game away.
Tyler Woods (two goals, one assist) and Kevin Young (two goals)
led the NU attack. Kyle Marzeoti chipped in one goal and one assist
for the Cadets, while Brandon Rankie added one assist.
Norwich goaltender Ryan Leroux put forth a strong effort in the
Cadets' goal, making 15 saves in the game.
Lasell outshot Norwich 53-22. The Lasers won 12-of-20 faceoffs.
Norwich returns to action on Monday, April 13, when the Cadets
travel to Lyndonville, Vt., to battle in-state rival Lyndon State
College. The non-conference match is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
