BOSTON - The Norwich University women's soccer team won its 10th straight game on Wednesday evening, defeating Great Northeast Athletic Conference foe Simmons, 2-0. The Cadets improve to 10-2 (7-0 GNAC), while the Sharks fall to 3-7-1 (2-4 GNAC).

Junior forward Dawn McNulty scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the first minute of the match off a corner kick. Sophomore forward Nikki Szczepanski, who initiated the play, was credited with an assist on the play.

Junior midfielder Meghan Hoskins added an insurance tally off an assist from senior defender Leanne Waterman.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nicki Hunsicker stopped all five shots that she faced en route to posting her third shutout of the season.

Norwich returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 11, when the Cadets host GNAC rival Emerson in a key league tilt. Kickoff from Howard Field is slated for 1 p.m.
