BOSTON – The Norwich volleyball team remained perfect on the season, defeating defending GNAC champion Emmanuel, 3-1, Sunday afternoon. The Cadets, who improve to 7-0 on the season, rallied after losing the first game to win: 24-30, 30-24, 30-24 and 30-27.

Alicia Chamness once again led the way for NU, pounding 18 kills to go along with 14 digs. Molly Rice dished out a team-best 26 assists, while Ami Fuller chipped in seven kills.

Sondra Connelly added a team-high three service ace for the Cadets, who improve to 2-0 in GNAC play.

Norwich returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 20, when the Cadets travel to Colchester, Vt., to take on in-state rival St. Michael's. The non-league match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
